On March 11–12, 2006, the Foreign Policy Research Institute’s Marvin Wachman Fund for International Education held its 15th History Institute for Teachers, focusing on “Teaching India.” Specially designed for secondary school teachers and curriculum supervisors, the program featured a series of lectures by leading scholars in several fields. Forty-three teachers from 15 states attended the weekend conference.

The program was held in Chattanooga, Tennessee and was co-sponsored by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Asia Program and the South Asia Center of the University of Pennsylvania.

The History Institute is supported by a grant from The Annenberg Foundation.
