FPRI is pleased to note the appointment of Michal Shamir as the first holder of the Alvin Z. Rubinstein Chair at Tel Aviv University. The late Alvin Rubinstein was a long-time senior fellow at FPRI.

John Hillen, Trustee of FPRI and director of our National Security Program, has resigned these two positions to take up the post of Assistant Secretary of State for Politico-Military Affairs. The Senate confirmed his appointment on October 7. FPRI wishes him every success in this role.
